WSP is a global leader in engineering, advisory, and science‑based solutions. We are seeking an Engineer, Bridges and Civil Structures to join the Burlington Bridge Group in Ontario. This position will assist with the inspection, preliminary, and detail design of bridges and other civil structures for federal, provincial, municipal, and private clients across Canada.

Reporting to the Burlington Bridge Group Manager, the Engineer will work with a highly qualified team on bridge planning, inspection, evaluation, rehabilitation, new design, and project administration. Carry out inspections and preliminary and detail design of bridges, culverts, retaining walls and other civil structures on assignments of moderate size, scope, diversity and/or complexity. Prepare engineering drawings.

Prepare form of tenders, quantity take‑offs and construction cost estimates. Prepare specifications and contract documents. Carry out contract administration and construction supervision. Provide technical guidance and direction to support staff, contractors, and vendors.

University degree in Civil Engineering.

Skilled

Engineer registered in Ontario with 1–5 years of experience in structural design and bridge engineering in Canada. Technical understanding, design abilities,



and current knowledge of bridge technologies. Working knowledge of structural analysis software used in civil design.

Experience in the planning, preliminary and detail design, and construction of bridges of standard and complex geometry, and culverts.

Experience with inspection, assessment and rehabilitation of existing structures. Experienced in report writing. Ability to work on several projects simultaneously with multiple design teams. Committed team player with willingness to help others and collaborate.
