Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and trustworthy Nursery Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for children, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will take pride in cleanliness, follow health and safety standards, and ensure all nursery areas are well-maintained and sanitized.

Key Responsibilities

- Clean and sanitize classrooms, play areas, nap rooms, and common areas.

- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors throughout the nursery.

- Clean and disinfect bathrooms, sinks, toilets, and changing stations.

- Empty trash and recycling bins and replace liners.

- Sanitize toys, learning materials, and children's equipment according to nursery procedures.

- Clean windows, doors, furniture, and other surfaces.

- Replenish cleaning supplies, paper products, soap, and hand sanitizer as needed.

- Assist with laundry duties, including washing and folding linens, blankets, and towels.

- Ensure cleaning tasks are completed in accordance with health, safety, and infection-control standards.





- Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, or supply shortages to management.

- Secure cleaning equipment and supplies safely away from children.

Qualifications

- Previous cleaning, housekeeping, or janitorial experience preferred.

- Experience working in a childcare, school, nursery, or healthcare environment is an asset.

- Ability to work independently and efficiently.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.

- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.

- Ability to lift, carry, and move cleaning equipment and supplies as required.
