We are seeking a detail-oriented CMM Operator to join our quality team. In this role, you will inspect and measure manufactured parts to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, GD&T; requirements, and customer specifications. This position plays a critical role in maintaining quality standards and supporting production operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CMM equipment to inspect precision machined components.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T; requirements.
- Perform dimensional inspections using CMMs, calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
- Generate first article inspections (FAI), dimensional reports, and inspection documentation.
- Identify and communicate non-conforming conditions to production and quality teams.
- Create and maintain blueprint ballooning and bubble maps.
- Perform CMM calibration checks, probe qualifications, and basic equipment maintenance.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation.
Qualifications
- Experience operating CMM equipment, preferably Mitutoyo systems.
- Strong understanding of GD&T; and blueprint reading.
- Experience with AS9102 First Article Inspection reporting.
- Knowledge of dimensional inspection reports, CAD models, Net-Inspect, and Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Solid communication skills and ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
