Resicare Society of Calgary is seeking a compassionate, dedicated female Community Support Practitioner to join a brand-new individualized support plan for a young woman embarking on an exciting new chapter of her life.
This unique opportunity begins by providing support in her family home as she prepares for greater independence. The support worker will then transition with her into her own apartment with round-the-clock support, where they will provide consistent, person-centered support as she establishes her new home and lifestyle.
Available positions: Full-Time, Part-Time and Relief
Shifts available: Days, Evenings and Awake Overnights
As a Member Of This Dedicated Team, You Will
- Support a young woman in achieving greater independence and reaching her personal goals.
- Assist with daily living activities and personal care as required.
- Encourage participation in community activities, recreation, and social opportunities.
- Foster a safe, respectful, and supportive living setting.
- Implement individualized support strategies and maintain accurate documentation.
- Work collaboratively with family members and the Resicare support team to ensure a smooth transition into independent living.
- A diploma or equivalent formal education in Rehabilitation Services, Social Services, and 2 years of experience supporting persons with developmental disabilities.
- Valid First Aid/CPR and Medication Administration certification are required.
- A recent Vulnerable Police clearance check within 6 months is REQUIRED upon interview.
