Duties

- Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal care, mobility support, and household tasks.
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to each person’s needs, preferences, and goals.
- Support communication using techniques such as American Sign Language (ASL) when applicable, ensuring transparent and respectful interactions.
- Administer medications following prescribed schedules and safety protocols to promote health and stability.
- Facilitate participation in community activities, outings, and social events to promote engagement and social skills.
- Collaborate with families, healthcare providers, and team members to coordinate care and monitor progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided, incidents,



and medication administration in accordance with organizational policies.

Skills

- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in caregiving roles that require patience and understanding.
- Knowledge of special education principles to support diverse learning styles and developmental needs.
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) to enhance communication with deaf or hard-of-hearing clients.
- Strong communication skills to effectively advocate for clients and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to perform caregiving duties with compassion, respect, and professionalism at all times.
- Familiarity with medication administration procedures to ensure safety and compliance.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining attention to detail.
