Your Role in Supporting Our Members:

As a Consultant, Operational Risk Management , you will play a key role in strengtheningVancity’soperational resilience by designing, implementing, and sustaining enterprise-wide operational risk and third-party risk management frameworks. This roleprovides independent second line oversight and challenge, with directimpact on safeguarding our members, supporting regulatory compliance, and promoting a strong risk-aware culture across the organization. We are seeking a risk professional with strongregulatoryexpertise,strong analytical skills, and a collaborativeapproach toinfluence sound risk practices across the business.

This is a Full-time, Permanent role based at our Vancity head office .While this position provides a hybrid work arrangement, you will be expected to be on-site for events and business demands.

How You'll Make an Impact:

- Design andenhance theOperational Risk Management and Resilience Frameworkincludingpolicies, procedures, and tools.
- Implement and sustain the Third-Party Risk Management Framework, including:
- Review andchallengecriticality and risk triage(CRT) assessments.
- Oversight of third-party risk assessments and due diligence.
- Ongoing monitoring, issue identification, and escalation of third-party risks.
- Design and implement the RCSA program; oversee and sustain KRIs, loss events, issues management, and scenario analysis.
- Provide independent second line oversight andchallengeof first line practices across operational risk,resilienceand third-party risk.




- Translate OSFI and BCFSA requirements into practical frameworks,policies, andguidance.
- Support critical operations mapping and resilience activities, including scenario testing.
- Monitor risk trends and control weaknesses, escalating material issues to senior management and committees.
- Deliver clear risk reporting to senior leadership and Board/Board committees.
- Partner with business units to embed sound risk practices whilemaintainingindependence.
- Promote a strongriskculture and accountable decision-making.

WhatYou’llBring tothe Team:

- 5+ years of experience in operational risk management, ERM or TPRM, preferably within financial services.
- A post-secondary degree in business, finance, risk management, orrelateddiscipline.
- Strong knowledge of OSFI (E-21 and B-10) and BCFSA expectations.
- Hands-on experience with RCSA, KRIs, lossdata, issues management, and resilience tools.
- Experience developing risk assessments, risk indicators,and Board-level reporting.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across diverse business functions.
- Ability to produce Board-level reporting and insights.
- Strong stakeholder management with the ability to provide constructivechallenge.

Extra Skills That Set You Apart:

- Professional risk designation such as CRM, CRMP, or equivalent
- Experience working within a financial institution or regulated environment
- Experience with second-line frameworks and oversight activities
- Analytical - You enjoy interpreting complex regulatory and risk information to design practical frameworks
- Collaborative - You build strong partnerships across teams to embed effective riskpractices,but you are comfortable challenging.
- Detail-oriented - Youensureaccuracyinrisk assessments, reporting, and policy development

WhatYou’llEarn:





This role offers a salary range of $86,400 to $116,800 per annum . T he midpoint of the salary range isapproximately halfwaybetween the minimum and the maximum andrepresentsan employee thatpossessesfull job knowledge, qualifications, and experience for the position. Thebase pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills,previousexperience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
