Join Covenant Health's Nutrition, Food, Linen and Environmental Services (NFLES) team as the Quality Coordinator. In this newly established role, you will champion quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence across clinical and service departments including Clinical Nutrition, Food Services, Environmental Services, Portering, and Linen Services. This position offers a unique opportunity for a quality-focused qualified who is passionate about improving service outcomes, enhancing resident and patient experiences, and supporting safe, high‑performing healthcare environments.

Description

As the Quality Coordinator, you will support quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives across Clinical Nutrition, Food Services, Environmental Services, Portering, Laundry, and Linen Services. You will collaborate with NFLES leadership, frontline staff, educators, and interdisciplinary stakeholders to deliver services safely, effectively, and in accordance with organizational, professional, and regulatory standards.

Your responsibilities include conducting audits, inspections, and evaluations; developing and maintaining quality metrics, action plans, policies, and standards; identifying opportunities to improve service delivery; implementing corrective actions; investigating concerns and complaints; participating in quality and process improvement projects; monitoring and analyzing key performance indicators; preparing reports; and presenting findings to operational leadership to support evidence‑informed decision making. You will also support staff education and training related to professional practice, quality standards, food safety, infection prevention and control practices, and operational procedures.

Required Qualifications - Diploma or degree in Nutrition Food Services Management,



Environmental Services, Health Administration, or a related field.

- Minimum two years of recent experience in healthcare Nutrition Food Services, Environmental Services, or other healthcare support service operations.

Additional Required

Qualifications - Demonstrated knowledge of infection prevention and control practices, food safety standards, accreditation processes, and healthcare regulations.

- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to interpret data and develop meaningful quality improvement initiatives.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and data reporting tools.
- Demonstrated project management, problem‑solving, and continuous improvement skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands, and achieve objectives within established timelines.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with leaders, frontline staff, educators, and interdisciplinary stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality, safety, and service excellence.
- Experience conducting audits, inspections, evaluations, or compliance reviews in a healthcare environment.
- Experience developing reports, monitoring key performance indicators, and presenting findings to operational leaders.
- Ability to collect, analyze, interpret, and present data to support quality improvement and operational decision‑making.

Preferred Qualifications - Minimum two years of experience in quality assurance, quality improvement, or healthcare support service operations.

- Experience supporting accreditation, healthcare audits, or regulatory compliance initiatives.
- Relevant certifications or professional memberships such as (C)NM, CAPM, PMP, CHESP, CHHA, CLLM, or MHLM.
- Experience with quality management, performance measurement, or process improvement methodologies.
