What You’ll Do As a Data Delivery Manager, you’ll lead the successful delivery of data products and services that support Specsavers’ strategic goals and data transformation journey. Working across a variety of business functions, you’ll partner with stakeholders, technical teams, and product owners to drive high-quality outcomes, manage delivery risks, and ensure value is delivered efficiently.
You’ll foster a culture of continuous improvement while providing leadership, structure, and visibility across complex data initiatives.
Key Responsibilities - Manage the end-to-end delivery of data projects and initiatives across multiple business areas, including retail, clinical, and supply chain.
- Lead one or more data-focused delivery teams to ensure successful, high-quality delivery aligned with business and data strategy objectives.
- Develop, maintain, & execute delivery plans while effectively balancing capacity, demand, timelines, & priorities.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, technical teams, and stakeholders to refine & prioritize backlogs.
- Facilitate delivery meetings and Agile ceremonies, promoting effective team collaboration and transparency.
- Monitor delivery performance, milestones, resource allocation, risks, dependencies, & unplanned work.
- Provide regular reporting & stakeholder communications on project status, progress, capacity, & risks.
- Manage changes in scope, requirements, budgets, & timelines while maintaining alignment with business objectives.
- Ensure solutions are appropriately tested, including functional, regression, user acceptance, performance, & end-to-end testing.
- Support compliance with information security, data privacy, regulatory, & governance requirements, including GDPR.
- Work closely with data architects and technical teams to align delivery outcomes with enterprise architecture standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating delivery practices, methodologies, & emerging technologies. What We’re Looking For - 2+ years of experience delivering data products and services within a matrixed or cross‑functional environment.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering data projects in fast‑paced, complex, and evolving environments.
- Experience managing medium‑to‑large projects or portfolios of smaller initiatives.
- Experience using both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, facilitation, & relationship‑building skills.
- Ability to identify, manage, & mitigate delivery risks, issues, & dependencies.
- Experience working with cross‑functional teams including product, technical, architecture, & business stakeholders.
- Strong organizational, planning, prioritization, & problem‑solving capabilities.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, adapt to changing priorities, and remain calm under pressure.
- Understanding of data platforms and technologies such as Databricks, Azure Data Factory, & Power BI.
- Foundational knowledge of data warehousing and data modelling concepts.
- Awareness of regulatory & compliance requirements, including GDPR & data governance principles.
- Relevant project or delivery certifications (Agile, Scrum, PRINCE2, PMI, APM, or similar) are considered an asset.
- A collaborative, proactive, & solutions‑focused mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and delivering business value.
Compensation $110,000 - $125,000 base salary, plus quarterly bonus, profit sharing, and benefits.
Actual compensation will be determined based on experience Speccies’ Benefits - 4 weeks of vacation and 1 paid volunteer day per year - 1 extra paid day off plus an eyecare voucher to celebrate your birthday.
