Role Description The Dental Ceramist at Alyans Dental will be responsible for fabricating high-quality ceramic restorations, including crowns, bridges, veneers, and implant-supported prosthetics. Day-to-day tasks include layering and shaping ceramics, applying stains and glazes, color matching to natural dentition, and ensuring precise fit and finish based on digital designs and dental prescriptions. The role involves close collaboration with dental technicians and clinicians, reviewing digital scans and CAD designs, and maintaining quality standards for all laboratory work.
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Montreal, QC, working within a modern digital dental laboratory environment.
Qualifications
Strong Laboratory Skills, including ceramic layering, finishing, and use of dental laboratory equipment.
Proficiency in Dental Technology, with experience in CAD/CAM workflows and digital dental restorations.
Foundational knowledge of Dentistry, occlusion, dental anatomy, and esthetic principles relevant to prosthetics.
Experience working as Laboratory Technicians in dental labs, collaborating with clinicians and interpreting lab prescriptions.
Ability to design, fabricate, and adjust Dentures and other removable prosthetic components as needed.
Attention to detail, color perception, and manual dexterity for fine esthetic and functional work.
Familiarity with implant-borne restorations and modern ceramic materials (e.g., zirconia, lithium disilicate) is an asset.
Relevant diploma or certification in dental technology or dental laboratory sciences; previous experience as a ceramist preferred.
Ability to work in office in Montreal, QC, communicate effectively with team members, and follow health and safety standards.
