Reporting to the Provost and the Chief Human Resources and Equity Officer, the Director oversees faculty labour relations while managing collective agreements for faculty and teaching assistants.
The role involves strategic advising, grievance management, and building positive relationships across internal and external stakeholders. Your experience in human resources and labour relations will be vital to Laurier's commitment to equity and inclusion. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead faculty labour relations and collective bargaining strategies
- Oversee grievance management and dispute resolution
- Advise on complex faculty relations and performance management
- Drive academic labour relations strategic planning
- Foster relationships with academic leaders and unions Requirements:
- Master’s degree in HR or related field preferred
- 8-10 years of labour relations experience in academia
- Deep understanding of faculty employment terms
- Knowledge of relevant Ontario legislation
