Your New Role
As a Dispatcher, you will be responsible for coordinating transportation activities while providing a high level of customer service. You will operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where problem-solving and adaptability are key to success.
Your responsibilities will include
- Coordinating and dispatching customer service calls
- Serving as the main point of communication between drivers, scale operators, and yard teams
- Directing truck activity and providing feedback on material quality
- Monitoring driver hours to ensure compliance with provincial regulations
- Tracking incoming and outgoing orders
- Planning effective routes based on customer pickup requirements
- Ensuring all safety procedures and operational processes are followed
What You’ll Need to Succeed To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A minimum of 2 years of fleet dispatching experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word
- Strong customer service skills with a professional approach
- The ability to work independently with strong attention to detail
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with the ability to multitask
- Knowledge of MTO regulations, border crossing procedures, documentation, and truck/trailer configurations
