Role Description The District Manager – Retail Cannabis is a full-time hybrid role based in Saskatoon, SK, with a blend of on-site store visits and some work-from-home flexibility. This role oversees multiple retail locations, ensuring consistent operational standards, regulatory compliance, and a strong focus on customer experience.

Day-to-day responsibilities include coaching and supporting store managers, monitoring sales performance, analyzing KPIs, and implementing strategies to drive revenue and profitability.

The District

Manager will conduct regular site visits, provide guidance on merchandising and inventory management, and maintain adherence to provincial cannabis regulations and company policies.



This role also involves building an engaged, high-performing team culture, resolving escalated customer issues, and collaborating with senior leadership on initiatives that reflect 5Buds’ commitment to community and responsible cannabis retail.

Qualifications

- Strong Communication skills, including the ability to provide explicit direction, feedback, and reports to store teams and leadership.
- Demonstrated Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction skills, with experience creating welcoming retail environments and handling escalated concerns.
- Proven Team Management skills, including leading multi-site teams, coaching managers, and fostering an inclusive, performance-focused culture.
- Solid Sales experience, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and using data to drive store performance.
- Experience in retail management, preferably in regulated industries such as cannabis, alcohol, or pharmaceuticals.
- Knowledge of provincial cannabis regulations and commitment to responsible, compliant operations.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly to stores across Saskatchewan.
- Post-secondary education in business, retail management, or a related field is an asset.
