What You Will Do Design, review, and coordinate electrical systems for building projects.
Prepare and review electrical drawings, specifications, calculations, and supporting documentation.
Ensure all designs and installations comply with applicable codes, regulations, standards, and safety requirements, including the Manitoba Electrical Code and Canadian Electrical Code.
Collaborate with project managers, estimators, structural engineers, architects,
contractors, and clients throughout project lifecycles.
Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions, monitor construction progress, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical support.
Support commissioning, testing, and startup activities for electrical systems and equipment.
What You Will Need Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution.
Preference will be given to candidates registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with Engineers & Geoscientists of Manitoba.
Engineers-in-Training (EITs) with demonstrated ability to manage projects may also be considered.
Valid Class5 Manitoba Driver’s Licence.
Strong understanding of electrical systems in commercial, industrial, agricultural, and construction environments.
Working knowledge of applicable electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
Proficiency with engineering software (AutoCAD and Revit).
