Delta1 Communications Centre is seeking an Emergency Dispatcher for on-call work, available 24/7/365.

This role involves answering emergency calls, dispatching for fire, rescue, and enforcement personnel, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. A successful candidate will have robust local knowledge, superior communication skills, and the ability to handle high-pressure situations effectively. Key Responsibilities:

- Handle emergency calls and gather critical incident details
- Dispatch for firefighting and rescue operations




- Make judgment-based decisions on responses and resources
- Maintain accurate records of call activities and communications
- Supervise field staff safety and follow up on missed check-ins Requirements:
- One year of dispatch or customer service experience preferred
- Knowledge of Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Northern British Columbia
- Ability to type 40 words per minute with high accuracy
- Strong decision-making skills under pressure
