Working with us means you’ll be part of some of the most interesting projects across Canada, the U.We are looking for an Environmental Department Head to join our Environmental team in our Vancouver office. In this role you will lead, develop, manage and motivate an emerging team of engineers, technicians and scientists with a focus on all aspects of environmental scopes of work for clients in various industries and markets. Successful candidate experience should include environmental engineering services involving, but not necessarily limited to site assessment, remediation and risk management; demolition and hazardous building materials assessment; solid waste management; Lead, develop, manage, and motivate an emerging team of engineers, technicians and scientists with a focus on environmental work Produce, supervise, and manage engineering deliverables on a variety of projects Track and manage key performance metrics for the department including, but not limited to, win ratio on proposals, revenue,
chargeability and client satisfaction Participate in business development activities, including assessing Go/No-Go opportunities with the Market Lead and Regional Manager, while leading and writing proposals Liaise and coordinate with other disciplines within the company to execute projects Help to maintain strong relationships with clients Coordinate with external consultants and vendors as required to ensure smooth project delivery Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Environmental/Geological Engineering, or equivalent A minimum of 15 years or more of environmental engineering experience Robust project management, leadership, communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and collaborative skills, and ability to provide effective technical mentoring to less experienced engineers Strong written communication skills and the ability to produce, review, and delegate technical reports, proposals and other forms of non-formal written communication Entrepreneurial mindset and propensity for business development will be considered a strong asset for this role Strong proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office (excel, word, PowerPoint) Society of Contaminated Sites Approved Professional is considered an asset but not a requirement We welcome applications from individuals of all abilities and are committed to providing accommodations, upon request, to ensure full participation in every stage of the recruitment and selection process. #
