Lydell Group Inc. is seeking experienced, qualified and safety-minded Class 1 King B Log Truck Drivers to join our forestry hauling operations.

This is not an entry-level driving position. We are looking for dependable drivers with proven experience operating King B logging configurations on forestry roads, steep grades and changing seasonal conditions.

- Complete thorough pre-trip, en-route and post-trip equipment inspections.
- Identify and report mechanical defects, damaged components and maintenance concerns.
- Confirm loads are properly positioned, balanced and secured before travelling.
- Inspect bunks, stakes, chains, wrappers, binders, lights, tires, brakes and trailer components.
- Communicate clearly with loader operators, dispatch, supervisors and other drivers.
- Follow designated radio channels, calling procedures and resource-road protocols.
- Safely navigate forestry roads, steep grades, narrow approaches, soft ground and changing road conditions.
- Install and remove tire chains safely when road and weather conditions require them.
- Maintain safe travelling distances and adjust speed for road, traffic, weather and load conditions.
- Follow loading, unloading, mill-yard and exclusion-zone requirements.
- Keep the truck, trailer, cab and working areas clean and orderly.
- Complete driver logs, trip reports, inspection documents and delivery paperwork accurately.
- Participate in hazard assessments, toolbox meetings and daily work planning.

- Follow Lydell Group safety procedures, transportation requirements and emergency-response expectations.

Required Experience and Qualifications

- Proven experience operating King B logging equipment.
- Demonstrated experience hauling logs on forestry and resource roads.
- Acceptable commercial driver’s abstract.
- Strong understanding of load securement, weight distribution and safe hauling practices.

- Ability to recognize equipment defects and communicate maintenance requirements.
- Dependable attendance and the ability to work effectively with limited supervision.
- Current industry safety certifications are considered an asset.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

The Driver We Are Looking For The successful candidate will understand that professional log hauling requires patience, sound judgment and constant awareness.

You should take pride in your equipment, communicate respectfully with loaders and other drivers,

and understand that no load or delivery schedule is more important than getting everyone home safely.

We are looking for drivers who:

- Respect the equipment and keep it clean.
- Conduct proper inspections rather than treating them as paperwork.
- Adjust their driving to changing road and weather conditions.
- Communicate clearly and professionally on the radio.
- Follow road-use, loading and unloading procedures.
- Stop and ask questions when conditions or expectations are unclear.
- Represent Lydell Group professionally at cut blocks, mills and public-road locations.
