Hungry Thaiger is looking for an experienced wok cook to join our small, owner-operated Thai restaurant.

We have grown from a successful takeout concept into a busy dine-in restaurant, and we are building a dependable, long-term kitchen team. We are looking for someone who is confident working a fast-paced service, takes pride in producing consistent food, and wants to become an important part of a growing restaurant.

The Position

This is primarily an evening and weekend position. You will work on our wok station during service while supporting the overall flow of the kitchen.

Responsibilities include

- Cooking dishes quickly, consistently, and according to our recipes
- Managing multiple wok orders during busy service periods
- Preparing and organizing your station before service
- Communicating clearly with the kitchen team
- Maintaining cleanliness, food safety, and proper station organization
- Helping with prep, closing duties, and general kitchen tasks when required
- Learning Hungry Thaiger’s recipes, portions, and service standards

What We’re Looking For The right person will be:
- Experienced with commercial wok cooking or high-volume line cooking
- Comfortable working with high heat and a fast ticket flow
- Organized, efficient, and calm under pressure
- Reliable and available for evening and weekend shifts
- Consistent with recipes, portions, and presentation
- Respectful, team-oriented, and willing to communicate




- Interested in joining a stable team and growing with the restaurant

Experience cooking Thai, Chinese, Vietnamese, or other Asian cuisine is strongly preferred. However, we will consider an experienced line cook who has strong fundamentals and is serious about learning wok cooking properly.

Compensation

- $18.00 per hour guaranteed base wage
- Participation in our staff tip pool
- Tip income is currently averaging approximately $4–$6 per hour for staff, although tips fluctuate and are not guaranteed
- Current typical combined earnings are approximately $22–$24 per hour
- Opportunities to take on additional responsibility as the business grows
