Job Summary

The Flight Coordinator is a part of a team of highly trained aviation and aeromedical experts providing logistics and communication support for emergency medical evacuation and charter flights.

The Flight

Coordinator is responsible for the dispatch and coordination of all crew and nursing personnel while coordinating all the necessary logistics associated with the flights.

Qualifications and Requirements: Minimum: Completion of Grade 12 (High school diploma)

Experience in flight coordination, dispatch, or crew scheduling preferred

Canadian Radio License (Aeronautical) required

Strong customer service experience considered an asset

Ability to read and interpret aviation weather (NAV Canada) an asset

Aviation background considered an asset

Attention to detail and ability to multitask

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable transportation Security clearances

Legally eligible to work in Canada

Current Criminal Record Check

Indigenous Awareness and/or Cultural Diversity training considered an asset.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Responsible for coordinating all company flights assigned to the base, including medevac and charter flights





Communicate effectively and professionally with all parties to ensure Keewatin Air flights are carried our safely

Provide flight watch duties for all medevac and all charters, monitoring the processes of the flight from commencement to termination, including intermediate stops

Perform as a positive representative of Keewatin air in interaction with the customer

Provide administrative, operational and customer service support to all the other departments and personnel, as required

Possess the ability to make informed decisions without compromising internal policies and procedures.

Working Conditions: Office setting: Schedule: Two-week rotation, alternating between day shift and night shift. Days may/will fall on holidays and weekend. Overtime may be required Tools & Equipment: Daily use of desktop or laptop computers, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) for audit reports, data analysis, and presentations

Physical Demands: May involve prolonged periods of sitting, computer use, and occasional standing or walking Collaboration: Regular interaction with flight operations teams, and regulatory bodies. Robust communication and interpersonal skills are vital.
