Lead the forensic DNA efforts of Alberta's current lab in Sherwood Park. The Ministry of Public Safety seeks an experienced Team Lead to manage forensic biology operations effectively. As the Team Lead for Forensic Biology, you will coordinate analytical workflows and ensure timely, quality DNA analysis to assist law enforcement.

Your role will encompass daily management of staff, compliance oversight, and maintaining high operational standards. Proven expertise in human DNA analysis is vital for this position. Key Responsibilities:

- Design and implement forensic DNA analysis methods
- Manage case workloads and team resources efficiently
- Monitor productivity and maintain quality assurance protocols
- Oversee evidence documentation and compliance standards




- Guide staff in technical practices and competency development Requirements:
- PhD in a related scientific discipline with at least 5 years experience
- Extensive experience in forensic DNA workflows
- Supervisory experience in a laboratory context
- Strong command of accreditation and quality assurance standards
- Capability to offer expert testimony in judicial matters Leverage your leadership experience to shape forensic science in Alberta, supporting the justice system through innovative DNA analysis.
