Role Description The Front Desk Representative is a full-time remote role responsible for being the first point of contact for individuals engaging with City of Toronto AI. Each day, this role manages incoming calls, responds to email and online inquiries, and provides clear information about services, programs, and procedures.
The Front Desk
Representative schedules and manages reservations or appointments, directs inquiries to appropriate teams, and maintains accurate records of interactions. This role also supports administrative tasks such as updating contact lists, documenting requests,
and following established protocols to ensure timely resolution of issues. The position requires consistent, professional communication, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to work effectively in a remote, digital front desk environment.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong customer-facing skills, including Customer Service and Receptionist Duties.
- Candidates should possess effective communication skills, including Communication and Phone Etiquette.
- Candidates should possess organizational skills relevant to managing Reservations and scheduling tasks.
- Candidates should possess basic computer literacy, including proficiency with office software, email, and online communication tools.
- Candidates should possess a professional and courteous manner, with the ability to handle inquiries from diverse communities.
- Candidates should possess strong time-management abilities and attention to detail when recording and following up on requests.
- Previous experience in front desk, call center, or administrative support roles is beneficial.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; further education in administration, communications, or related fields is an asset.
