Riversdale Saskatoon Pharmacy is seeking a reliable, customer-focused, and hands-on Front Store Lead / Cashier to join our community pharmacy team.

This is a working front-store role. You will regularly serve customers at the till while helping ensure the front store is clean, organized, well stocked, and ready for customers each day. This is not a desk-based management position.

Growth Chance: The successful candidate will receive training and may progress to a Front Store Supervisor role following successful completion of training and probation. Progression comes with increased responsibility and a higher rate of pay.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with customers, takes pride in maintaining a well-run store, and is interested in developing their retail and leadership skills.

Customer service and cashier duties:

- Greet customers warmly and provide helpful, respectful service
- Operate the cash register and accurately process cash, debit, credit, refunds, and other transactions
- Assist customers in locating front-store products
- Answer and appropriately direct telephone calls
- Help resolve routine customer questions or concerns and escalate issues when needed
- Maintain a welcoming, professional front-store environment

Daily front-store operations:

- Stock, rotate, face, and organize shelves and displays
- Ensure key products and front-store supplies are replenished
- Receive, check, organize, and put away incoming inventory and orders
- Maintain a clean and organized front store, including counters, shelves, floors, receiving areas, and staff areas
- Complete opening, mid-shift, and closing duties, including daily operational checklists
- Identify low stock, damaged products, expired products, store-maintenance needs, or customer-service concerns and report them promptly
- Assist with monthly cash-outs, till balancing, and reconciliation procedures according to company policy
- Follow pharmacy privacy, safety, cash-handling,



and loss-prevention procedures

Lead and development duties: Following training and based on demonstrated performance, you may also:

- Coordinate daily front-store tasks and follow up to ensure they are completed
- Support and train other front-store team members
- Prepare staff schedules for senior-management review and approval
- Collect, review, and submit payroll information for senior-management approval
- Assist with front-store ordering and inventory organization
- Help maintain consistent customer-service, cleanliness, stocking, and display standards
- Communicate operational concerns and improvement ideas to senior management

What we’re looking for:

- Previous cashier, retail, grocery, convenience-store, or customer-service experience is preferred
- Experience with cash handling and point-of-sale systems is an asset
- Strong customer-service and communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, organized, and able to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable using computers, POS systems, email, and telephone systems
- Willingness to complete regular hands-on work, including cashiering, stocking, shelf-facing, cleaning, receiving orders, and organizing inventory
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures and checklists consistently
- Able to prioritize tasks in a busy environment while continuing to provide excellent customer service
- Able to stand for extended periods and lift/carry items up to 20 lb, with or without accommodation
- Previous experience with staff scheduling, payroll preparation, inventory ordering, or cash reconciliation is an asset, but not required
