The Role
We are looking for a Software Developer Intern to help extend and improve our existing backend services, APIs, and the applications that consume them. You'll work with a modern, actively developed codebase — adding new features, improving data flows, and building new applications on top of our internal platform.
What You'll Do
- API Development: Extend our existing REST APIs with new endpoints, features, and improvements to support business needs.
- Data Pipeline Work: Maintain and enhance the data pipelines that keep our systems in sync, including schema changes and data-quality improvements.
- Consumer Applications: Build and improve applications that consume our APIs — internal tools, integrations, and new services.
- Database Management: Work with relational database schema design, migrations, and structuring data to support current application logic.
- System Integration:
Connect our backend services with external APIs and third-party tools.
What We're Looking For
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong database skills: comfortable with SQL, schema design, and reasoning about how existing data models support application logic.
- Ability to read and work within an existing codebase — understanding established patterns before extending them.
- Proficiency in a backend language such as Java or Python; familiarity with REST API design or React is an asset.
- Ability to translate requirements into functional software features.
