Position Summary

EnerZam is seeking an experienced

Full Stack Developer – React, Data Engineering & Analytics

to join our Technology Division.

This role is ideal for a developer who combines strong full-stack development experience with a passion for data engineering, analytics, and building intelligent software products. The successful candidate will contribute to the development, optimization, and scaling of EnerZam’s digital platforms, with a focus on modern web applications, backend services, data pipelines, analytical dashboards, and high-performance database systems.

You will work closely with our engineering, software, and operations teams to develop secure, scalable, and user-friendly solutions that transform complex building, energy, IoT, and operational datasets into transparent insights for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain modern web applications using React, TypeScript, and related front-end technologies.
- Develop and optimize backend services, RESTful APIs, and data-driven application features.
- Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for collecting, transforming, and analyzing large datasets.
- Work with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL, including schema design, query optimization,



and performance tuning.
- Design and optimize data models for analytical, operational, IoT, and time-series workloads.
- Develop dashboards, KPIs, reports, and data visualizations that support building performance, energy management, and operational decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and translate business needs into scalable software solutions.
- Contribute to software architecture decisions, including modular design, API-first development, and microservices-based approaches.
- Support deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of cloud-based applications.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum development workflows, code reviews, testing, and release planning.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software development, including at least 2 years as a Full Stack Developer.
- Strong experience with modern front-end frameworks, particularly React and TypeScript.
- Solid experience developing RESTful APIs and backend services using Java, Node.js, Python, or similar technologies.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
- Experience designing and optimizing data models for analytical and time-series workloads.
- Strong understanding of software architecture principles, including modular design, API-first development, and microservices.
- Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and containerized environments such as Docker.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Data Engineering & Analytics Expertise

The ideal candidate will also have strong experience in:
- Designing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines for collecting, transforming, and analyzing large datasets.
- Data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and data quality best practices.
- Working with time-series or IoT datasets, including large volumes of sensor or telemetry data.




- Optimizing complex SQL queries and improving database performance.
- Building analytical dashboards, KPIs, and data visualizations.
- Analytical database technologies, considered an asset.

Front-End Expertise

Candidates should demonstrate strong experience with:
- Developing responsive and intuitive user interfaces with React.
- TypeScript, React Hooks, state management libraries, and component-based architectures.
- Modern front-end tooling and build systems.
- Integrating charts and visualization libraries to present analytical and operational data.

Cloud & DevOps

Experience in the following areas is strongly preferred:
- Deploying and maintaining applications in AWS environments.
- Docker and container orchestration concepts.
- Monitoring, logging, and application performance optimization.
- Security best practices for cloud-native applications and APIs.

Nice-to-Have Experience

The following experience will be considered an asset:
- Energy management, measurement and verification, building automation, or industrial sectors.
- Protocols such as Modbus, BACnet, MQTT, or other IoT communication standards.
- Energy consumption, utility, carbon, or sustainability datasets.
- Machine learning or predictive analytics techniques.
- Development of SaaS products used by enterprise customers.
