Support vulnerable adults as a full time Harm Reduction Worker with Lookout Housing and Health Society in Surrey, BC. This role centers on education, coordination, and facilitating harm reduction programs for diverse clients. As a Harm Reduction Worker, you will oversee Lookout’s harm reduction initiatives, educating staff and supporting clients.
You will engage with individuals facing complex challenges, including mental health issues and substance abuse, ensuring they receive necessary resources. This position demands attentiveness and adherence to health and safety requirements while providing compassionate service. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee Lookout’s harm reduction and needle distribution programs
- Educate staff on approved harm reduction practices
- Assist clients in accessing community resources
- Maintain accurate manual and computerized records
- Respond to emergencies and ensure team safety Requirements:
- Certificate in social services or equivalent experience
- Current Occupational First Aid Level 1 Certificate
- Familiarity with harm reduction and community resources
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License and clean Abstract
