This role integrates community-based psychiatry with outreach care, delivering essential mental health services to diverse populations. As a Psychiatrist in Richmond, you will work within the Richmond Adult Mental Health Team and the Assertive Community Treatment Team.
This 0.6 FTE and 0.4 FTE role offers a unique opportunity to provide interdisciplinary care for patients experiencing severe mental illness. The supportive Department of Psychiatry ensures a collaborative environment with excellent mentorship and community programs. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct ongoing assessments for adult patients
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in various settings
- Provide intensive outreach treatment for complex needs
- Participate in teaching and quality improvement initiatives
- Contribute to on-call service rotations Requirements:
- Current CPSBC and CMPA membership
- Fellowship in Psychiatry (FRCPC) or equivalent
- Experience in community psychiatry is preferred
- Ability to teach medical professionals and residents
