Engage students with organic gardening as a Garden Educator at Grandview Woodland Food Connection in Vancouver. Foster food literacy and sustainability through hands-on lessons in local gardens. This contract position allows you to connect with students at Grandview Elementary and Britannia Community Centre, focusing on interactive, land-based learning.

You'll collaborate with an Indigenous Gardener, ensuring cultural knowledge is integrated within gardening activities. Join a passionate team dedicated to supporting community health through food security and education. Key Responsibilities:

- Develop interactive garden curriculum with educators and Indigenous Gardener
- Facilitate student-led lessons and hands-on salad bar sessions




- Support ecological and cultural knowledge sharing in gardens
- Care for and maintain community food growing spaces
- Build relationships with diverse students using adaptable teaching methods Requirements:
- Experience with students from kindergarten to grade 12
- Basic training in horticulture preferred
- Knowledge of organic gardening practices
- Understanding of Indigenous cultures and current issues
