Position Summary

This position is responsible for:

- Student accounts receivable: audits and enters student account transactions (including, but not limited to, awards, refunds, emergency loans and payments), prepares and distributes statements, pursues collections, reviews and prepares adjustments to accounts and responds to customer inquiries;
- Negotiating payment plans and reviewing accounts to reconcile any discrepancies;
- Serving as a “central cashier” for the College, including the daily posting of accounts receivable, student and other payment and related transactions (including, but not limited to internal deposits, regional deposits and outgoing electronic fund transfers);




- The timely and accurate processing of all non-purchase order accounts payable, including Travel Advance and Travel Expense claims, and ensuring compliance with College policies;
- Auditing petty cash submissions for accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with College policies;
- Maintenance of petty cash spreadsheet and the entry of the petty cash transactions in Banner;
- Responding to accounting related queries, including “Live Line” and front counter; and
- Other duties as assigned.

Type of Experience

Three years of related experience working with computerized accounting systems, with preference for experience with Banner Finance. Solid interpersonal and customer service skills, as well as organizational and time management skills to deal with multi-tasking in a fast paced environment while maintaining a high level of customer service. Strong analytical skills are required to problem solve and reconcile accounts. Extensive experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
