Position: Geo-Structural Engineer – Foundation Testing and Engineering

Location: Richmond Hill, Ontario (Head Office)

FPrimeC Solutions is a growing Canadian engineering firm specializing in advanced structural condition assessment, non-destructive testing and evaluation (NDT/E), and performance-based engineering of concrete infrastructure. Our work supports critical assets across mining, oil & gas, and industrial facilities in Canada and internationally.

We are seeking a motivated civil or geo-structural engineering professional with a strong interest in foundation engineering, field testing, data analysis, and technical reporting to join our multidisciplinary team at our Richmond Hill office.

This role offers a unique blend of field exposure, engineering analysis, and technical reporting, with opportunities to work on complex, real-world infrastructure challenges.

What You’ll Do

As a civil/geo-structural engineer, you will work closely with senior engineers, field technicians, contractors, and project stakeholders on a variety of projects, including:

- Plan and coordinate deep foundation testing programs and non-destructive testing and evaluation (NDT/E) of geo-structures
- Review geotechnical and structural engineering reports, foundation drawings, specifications, and available subsurface information
- Support the evaluation of driven piles, drilled shafts, caissons, and other foundation systems and geo-structures
- Perform or assist with pile testing and integrity assessment
- Perform deep foundation analyses
- Collect, review,



and interpret field data from foundation construction and testing activities
- Prepare clear, high-quality engineering reports, technical documents, proposals, and field records
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, owners, and field personnel during project delivery
- Participate in field assignments at construction, transportation, industrial, and infrastructure sites

What We’re Looking For

We recognize that strong candidates may come from different backgrounds and levels of experience. You may be a good candidate for this position if you have:
- A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; A master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering is considered an asset
- A Professional Engineer license in Canada or active progress toward obtaining a P.Eng. license
- A solid understanding of concrete materials, soil mechanics, foundation engineering, and geotechnical engineering principles
- Knowledge of shallow foundations, deep foundations, pile installation, and foundation construction
- Familiarity with Canadian geotechnical and foundation design standards and practices
- Experience reviewing borehole logs and geotechnical investigation reports
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills




- Strong written communication skills for preparing technical reports and engineering documentation
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Experience with pile integrity testing (PIT, CSL, TIP, SQUID, PDA), or QVE, or construction inspection is an asset but is not required. Training and mentorship will be provided.

Work Environment & Travel

This position involves a combination of office-based engineering work and field assignments, including:
- Work at construction sites, bridges, industrial facilities, transportation corridors, and other infrastructure sites
- Travel within Ontario and other parts of Canada, including occasional work in remote locations
- Field assignments that may occur during daytime, nighttime, or weekend construction operations
- Work around heavy construction equipment and active foundation installation operations
- Fieldwork conducted with appropriate safety training, procedures, and support

Eligibility

- Legal authorization to work in Canada is required
- Ability and willingness to travel as part of project work
- A valid Ontario driver’s license
- Access to a reliable vehicle is considered an asset
- Ability to work safely in construction and industrial environments
