Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer-in-Training - Whitehorse

Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer in our Ground Engineering and Materials team based in This role blends hands‑on fieldwork with office‑based analysis and design, supporting a diverse portfolio of geotechnical projects across You’ll collaborate with technical experts, contribute to major northern infrastructure initiatives, and play a key role in advancing our regional project delivery. Lead and participate in field programs including borehole drilling, test pitting, in situ testing, instrumentation installation, and construction monitoring. Analyze geotechnical and geological data to develop recommendations for foundations, retaining structures, earthworks, pavements, and slope stability.

Prepare clear, defensible technical reports such as investigations, design briefs, and construction documentation. Provide geotechnical input to multidisciplinary teams and support creative, data‑driven solutions. Mentor junior staff in field methods, analysis techniques, and safety practices.

Build strong client relationships through responsive, reliable engineering advice. Support quality assurance processes, project coordination, and continuous improvement in geotechnical practice.



Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering or Civil Engineering with a geotechnical focus.

EIT of experience as a Geotechnical or Geological Engineer‑in‑training.
