Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for overall management of the Grocery Department.
- Achieve budgeted goals related to sales, margins, expenses, and inventory and execute sales strategies that support Sherwood Co-ops vision.
- Achieve established objectives in terms of brand, service levels, quality, and timeliness of delivery and identify areas for improvement.
- Assist the Store Manager in preparation of the annual budget.
- Ensure claims, invoices and all other paper work is done timely, accurately and meets policy and procedure.
- Implement and enforce written performance expectations and standards.
- Coach team members, providing day to day direction and guidance, including performance management, training and development.
- Ensure safety and regulatory standards and procedures are implemented and maintained.
- Plan and engage in self-development.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of three years of retail management experience.
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a special skill of motivating employees to achieve strong results.
- A solid understanding of computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to shifting priorities.
- Analytical and organized; committed to producing quality work.
- Youre honest, bondable and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do.
