New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company, is seeking an experienced Guidewire BillingCenter Business Analyst to assess an existing Guidewire BillingCenter implementation and identify opportunities to improve billing and delinquency processes, automation, operational efficiency, and alignment with Guidewire best practices.

The successful candidate will lead a time-boxed assessment of the current BillingCenter environment, working with business and technical stakeholders to evaluate existing processes, integrations, recurring production issues, manual activities, and system configuration.

Responsibilities:

- Assess the current Guidewire BillingCenter implementation, with particular focus on billing, payments, and delinquency processes.
- Evaluate the suitability of the current delinquency process for the non-standard automobile insurance portfolio.
- Assess the business and operational impacts of collecting two initial payments before the standard billing cycle.
- Review the Three Pay payment plan and associated delinquency processes.
- Identify manual activities, process gaps, operational inefficiencies, and opportunities for automation throughout the delinquency lifecycle.
- Facilitate discovery and requirements sessions with business, operational, and technical stakeholders.
- Establish a common understanding of the end-to-end delinquency lifecycle, including process ownership, business rules, controls, and system interactions.
- Review dependencies and data flows between Guidewire BillingCenter, Guidewire PolicyCenter, and external systems.
- Assess billing- and payment-related integrations to identify gaps, defects, control weaknesses, and operational impacts.
- Analyze existing production defects, recurring issues, incidents, and backlog trends to identify systemic root causes.




- Evaluate opportunities to use out-of-the-box Guidewire BillingCenter functionality and configuration instead of custom solutions.
- Review billing and payment controls, monitoring, reconciliation, and payment reliability processes.
- Gather and document business, technical, non-functional, security, and testing requirements.
- Document epics, features, user stories, requirements, business rules, and acceptance criteria.
- Develop current-state and future-state process maps.
- Identify key findings, operational pain points, risks, root causes, and improvement opportunities.
- Develop prioritized recommendations for process improvements, configuration changes, automation, and improved use of standard Guidewire functionality.
- Prepare an implementation roadmap covering short-, medium-, and long-term initiatives.
- Produce a scoping assessment for potential current billing methods.
- Prepare and deliver weekly status reports.

Requirements

- Minimum five years of professional Business Analyst experience.
- Minimum five years of experience gathering business requirements, resolving production issues, and elaborating system enhancements.
- Demonstrated business analysis experience with Guidewire BillingCenter.
- Expert-level knowledge and experience with the Guidewire BillingCenter platform.
- Experience assessing billing, payment, collections, or delinquency processes.
- Experience investigating production defects, recurring issues, process gaps, and root causes.




- Advanced experience eliciting and documenting business, technical, non-functional, security, and testing requirements.
- Advanced experience documenting epics, features, user stories, business rules, and acceptance criteria.
- Strong process-analysis and process-mapping experience, including current-state and future-state documentation.
- Experience reviewing application integrations, dependencies, interfaces, and data flows.
- Strong understanding of Agile, Waterfall, and other software-development and project-delivery lifecycles.
- Ability to communicate complex system and process issues clearly to business and technical stakeholders.
- CBAP, CCBA, or another recognized business analysis certification or designation.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with Guidewire InsurCloud for Canada.
- Experience within the Canadian property and casualty insurance industry.
- Experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter and its integration with BillingCenter.
- Experience assessing insurance billing plans, payment processing, reconciliation, collections, and delinquency operations.
- Experience recommending out-of-the-box Guidewire capabilities to reduce unnecessary customization.
- Experience developing implementation roadmaps and executive-level assessment reports.
