Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Hardscape Lead Hand to join our dynamic construction team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the installation and finishing of outdoor hardscape features such as patios, walkways, retaining walls, and decorative stonework. Your leadership will ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your expertise in masonry, carpentry, and construction while guiding a team of skilled workers through complex outdoor projects.

Responsibilities

- Lead and coordinate daily hardscape installation activities, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately execute project designs.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and machinery safely and efficiently on-site.
- Oversee concrete forming, finishing, and masonry work to achieve accurate results.
- Supervise team members, assign tasks, and provide mentorship to foster a productive work environment.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and quality standards; conduct regular site inspections.




- Assist with construction estimating by providing accurate material and labor assessments for upcoming projects.
- Perform or oversee tasks such as caulking, tile laying, flooring installation, cabinet installation, plumbing, electrical work, welding, restoration, and painting as required for project scope.

Experience

- Proven experience in construction with a focus on hardscape or masonry projects.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction drawings.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and concrete finishing techniques.
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes and material calculations.
- Background in carpentry, masonry, welding, plumbing or electrical work is highly desirable.
- Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining safety standards on busy job sites.
- Certification or experience in construction painting or restoration is a plus.
