We are seeking an experienced Head of Mining / Corporate Mining Engineer to lead our global mining engineering team, providing technical leadership across a portfolio of international mining projects. Reporting to senior leadership, you will oversee mining studies from Scoping through Feasibility, ensuring technical excellence, consistency, and commercial value across multiple commodities and jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop the global mining engineering team.
Provide technical oversight for Scoping, PFS, and Feasibility Studies.
Review and approve mine designs, schedules, equipment selection, and production plans.
Support project evaluations, technical due diligence, and investment decisions.
Collaborate with geology, metallurgy, infrastructure, and project development teams.
Establish engineering standards, best practices, and quality assurance processes.
Mentor mining engineers and manage technical resources across projects.
Represent the mining discipline with executive leadership, clients, and external consultants.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering; P.Eng. (or eligible) preferred.
15+ years of mining engineering experience in project development and mine planning.
Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and supporting mining studies globally.
Solid knowledge of mine design, scheduling, mine economics, and project evaluation.
Proficiency with industry software such as Deswik, Vulcan, Datamine, MineSched, or similar.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
