The Job!

Working closely with managers and employees, you'll provide guidance on HR best practices, employee relations, workplace policies, and talent initiatives while helping foster an engaged, inclusive, and high-performing workplace.

- Provide day-to-day HR guidance and support to managers and employees on workplace policies, employment legislation, and best practices.
- Partner with leaders to resolve employee relations matters through coaching, conflict resolution, and workplace investigations.
- Support performance management by assisting with employee development plans, performance conversations, and corrective action when required.
- Coordinate employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding, orientation, internal transfers, and offboarding.
- Maintain accurate employee records within HR systems while ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
- Work collaboratively with Payroll and IT to facilitate employee changes, new hires, and terminations.
- Assist with implementing HR programs, policies, and initiatives that strengthen employee engagement and organizational culture.
- Support organizational change initiatives and help leaders navigate workplace transitions.
- Analyze HR trends and recommend process improvements that enhance operational efficiency.
- Ensure HR practices comply with employment legislation, company policies,



and collective agreement requirements.
- Contribute to special HR projects and provide additional support as business needs evolve.

What you bring to the job

You come with experience working in a unionized environment with knowledge of collective agreements. You come with:

- Diploma, degree, or certificate in Human Resources or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably in a healthcare or similarly regulated environment.
- Demonstrated experience managing employee relations issues and workplace investigations.
- CHRP designation (completed or in progress) is considered an asset.
- Experience using HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organizational abilities with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Sound judgment, professionalism, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- A proactive, collaborative mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.

Expected Compensation: CAD $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per annum.
