Join Trent University as an HVAC Technician, where you'll ensure occupant comfort and energy efficiency. This role involves critical maintenance and installation of HVAC systems. Reporting to the Manager, Mechanical & Electrical Services, the HVAC Technician plays a vital role in supporting University facilities.
You will leverage five years of experience to diagnose and resolve HVAC issues, perform preventative maintenance, and communicate effectively with team members. Your responsibility includes coordinating with other trades and managing emergency situations. Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate HVAC complaints and complete necessary repairs
- Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment
- Monitor and reset HVAC control systems
- Install HVAC equipment per safety and code regulations
- Coordinate HVAC maintenance with contractors and staff Requirements:
- Grade 12 secondary school education
- Provincial trade license and TSSA Gas Technician 1 Certificate
- Five years of HVAC systems experience required
- Robust knowledge of safety regulations in the field
