Join Arrow Home as an Indigenous Doula in Victoria, providing culturally relevant, trauma-informed support to mothers and families post-birth. Share your lived experience while fostering healing and adjustment in a nurturing setting. This part-time position focuses on assisting Indigenous families during the critical fourth trimester.
You will provide emotional, physical, and educational support, ensuring mothers receive assistance tailored to their cultural context. Collaborating with the Arrow Home team, you’ll help families navigate the transition into motherhood by offering practical support and guidance rooted in Indigenous traditions. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide culturally safe support for mothers and families
- Assist with newborn care and family adjustment
- Facilitate educational sessions on motherhood
- Lead weekly parenting chat group for insights
- Collaborate on program activities and support initiatives Requirements:
- Indigenous ancestry/identity is required
- Doula Certificate and association membership needed
- 20 hours of relevant training required
- Basic computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Support Indigenous families through culturally informed care and guidance during their postpartum journey in Victoria.
