Aermec North America provides high-efficiency hydronic HVAC solutions for commercial and institutional buildings. Our product offering includes chillers, heat pumps, fan coils, and other energy-efficient heating and cooling equipment. We are looking for a technically minded Inside Sales Engineer to join our team.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Inside Sales Engineer will provide technical and commercial support to our Regional Sales Managers, manufacturer representatives, and engineers. This position will support projects from the initial equipment selection and quotation stages through order processing, technical documentation, and project follow-up.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Project Support and Documentation
- Review mechanical plans, specifications, equipment schedules, and tender documents
- Help customer select the right products for their applications
- Provide technical support for chillers, heat pumps, fan coils, and hydronic HVAC systems
- Respond to questions regarding pricing, product availability, and technical informationSupport Regional Sales Managers with project development and sales opportunities
- Coordinate with engineering, production, and after-sales teams
- Review purchase orders to confirm that technical and commercial requirements are accurate.
- Prepare technical submittals and other supporting documentation
- Keep customer, project, and opportunity information current in the company CRM
- Participate in product training and maintain a strong understanding of Aermec products and applications
- Make sure customer requests are managed accurately and within the required timelines
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- DEC in Building Systems Technology, Mechanical Building Systems,
(or a related technical discipline), or a Bachelor’s degree in building systems engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Three to five years of related experience in commercial HVAC, hydronic systems, technical sales, equipment sales, or application engineering
- Experience reading mechanical plans, specifications, and equipment schedules
- Experience with chillers, heat pumps, fan coils, pumps, or similar mechanical equipment is very useful
- A combination of relevant education and experience may also be considered
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Good understanding of commercial hydronic heating and cooling systems
- Robust technical, analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at the same time
- Strong diligence and a customer-focused approach
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Experience with CRM systems, HVAC selection software, AutoCAD, or Revit is an asset
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
- Fluency in French and English, written and spoken, is required
- Proficiency in Italian is an asset
- The position involves regular communication with customers, representatives, suppliers, and colleagues across Canada, the United States, and Europe
