Join Barclays as an Investment Banking, Associate. In this role, you will build and maintain trusted relationships with corporate clients, developing a deep understanding of their strategic targets, financial priorities, and capital needs. You will partner with senior bankers to deliver tailored investment banking solutions, supporting clients across mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, and strategic advisory engagements.
Leveraging advanced financial evaluation, market insights, and industry knowledge, you will contribute to transaction execution, identify new business opportunities, and help deliver remarkable client outcomes while maintaining the highest standards of excellence and collaboration. To be successful as an Investment Banking, Associate, you should have experience with: Investment Banking at a bulge bracket investment bank or a top Canadian bank Supporting the execution of large-scale corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, and strategic advisory engagements Advanced knowledge in financial modelling, valuation methodologies, financial evaluation, and the preparation of confidential investor presentations and other transaction materials Covering the Oil & Gas sector, with a preference in Upstream, Midstream, or Power & Utilities Demonstrated experience executing live, high-value investment banking transactions, with the ability to guide multiple workstreams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Organizational skills, attention to detail, and data-driven approach to solving multi-layered financial and strategic tasks Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill strategic financial concepts into clear, compelling recommendations for clients, senior stakeholders,
and internal teams You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in this role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
Minimum Salary: $220,000 CAD Maximum Salary: $ 270,000 CAD The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. Generation of ideas and identification of opportunities that expand the bank's client base and generate new business opportunities. .
In-depth financial analysis and due diligence on client companies to assess their financial health and valuation. . Collaboration with legal and compliance teams to review, draft, and maintain legal documentation required for transactions, including contracts and agreements. . Collaboration with other teams, such as Capital Markets, Sales and Trading, Research, and Risk Management, to provide comprehensive solutions to clients. .
