Purpose of the Position

Reporting to the Team Lead, IT Operations, the intern will support the IT team in deploying and maintaining technology operations across the store network and head office. The primary mandate will be to assist teams with store openings, closures, relocations and renovations, while tracking technology equipment, suppliers and the department’s various administrative processes.

Key Responsibilities

Support IT teams in coordinating store openings, relocations and special projects;

Assist internal and external stakeholders in ensuring that technology equipment and services are implemented according to established standards;

Support communications among head office, stores and suppliers involved in projects;

Follow up with suppliers to help ensure deadlines and deliverables are met;

Participate in managing the inventory of IT assets and help maintain accurate, up-to-date data;





Assist the team with the procurement of technology equipment, including purchase requests and purchase orders;

Provide administrative follow-up on invoices and participate in the various approval cycles;

Support the administrative management of IT contracts and licences, including tracking renewals, deadlines and related documentation;

Support maintenance and replacement activities for technology equipment in stores;

Contribute to any other project or activity related to the IT department.

Curiosity and interest in technology: You want to develop your knowledge in an environment where technology directly supports the operations of an ever-evolving store network.

Requirements

Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in Computer Science, completed or in progress;

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French and English (as the role involves communicating with suppliers and partners across Canada);

Interest in technology infrastructure and network environments;

Good command of the Microsoft Office suite;

Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment;

Experience or an academic project related to networks, technology deployment or setting up a workplace environment is an asset;

Knowledge of the retail industry is an asset.
