Role Description The Jewellery Assembler is responsible for assembling diamond and gemstone jewelry pieces according to design specifications and quality standards. Day-to-day tasks include setting stones, aligning and securing components, inspecting pieces for defects, performing minor repairs or adjustments, and maintaining accurate records of completed work. The role also involves collaborating with designers and production staff, following safety protocols, and ensuring all pieces meet company quality and aesthetic requirements before packaging.
This is a full-time on-site role based in Vaughan, ON.
Qualifications
- Hands-on jewelry assembly skills, including basic stone setting, soldering, and working with small components and tools.
- Attention to detail and quality control skills to inspect, measure, and verify that assembled pieces meet design and quality standards.
- Manual dexterity and fine motor skills for precision work with diamonds, gemstones, and delicate metal parts.
- Basic knowledge of diamonds, gemstones, and jewelry materials, including familiarity with certified diamonds and common settings.
- Robust organizational and time management skills to handle multiple pieces in a production environment and meet deadlines.
- Ability to follow written instructions, technical drawings, and verbal directions, with clear communication skills for teamwork.
- Comfort with a hybrid work arrangement, including reliability in onsite work in Brampton, ON and self-discipline when working from home.
- Prior experience in jewelry manufacturing, bench work, or a related craft is an asset; formal training or certification in jewelry design or manufacturing is beneficial.
