Join Kitchenuhmaykoosib Inninuwug Dibenjikewin Onaakonikewin (KIDO) as a Multimedia Storyteller with a focus on creating impactful visual narratives. This full-time role combines videography, photography, and multimedia content to foster community awareness. You will engage in cooperative storytelling that reflects traditional values and practices of the KI Nation.
Working under the guidance of the Ayamowin Manager, your tasks will range from generating story ideas to producing and distributing content across various platforms. This is an opportunity to promote cultural understanding within the community. Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in planning sessions for story development
- Create and edit multimedia content, including videos and social media posts
- Research and conduct interviews for compelling storytelling
- Collaborate on language translations for multimedia production
- Manage and organize multimedia files for easy access Requirements:
- Background in multimedia production or relevant domain
- Strong capabilities in videography and photography
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite for editing tasks
- Excellent written and verbal skills in English; Anishininiimowin is a plus
- Must possess a valid Ontario driver’s license and complete a Criminal Record Check Bring your creativity and passion for storytelling to KIDO’s mission of revitalizing culture through multimedia engagement.
