Clark

Builders is hiring Skilled Labourers to work on a project in Vernon, BC. This role will be responsible for preparing and cleaning up construction sites, moving materials and equipment, and performing demolition, excavation and compaction activities.

Reporting to: Foreman or Superintendent.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Load and unload construction materials and move materials to work areas.
- Erect/install and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades required at construction sites.
- Place and vibrate concrete.
- Assist tradespersons such as carpenters and cement finishers in construction activities.
- Level earth to fine grade specifications using rake and shovel.
- Assist demolishing buildings using prying bars and other tools, and sort, clean, and pile salvaged materials.
- Operate jack hammers and tampers as directed.
- Pump water.
- Maintaining a clean construction site.




- Maintain organization of storage containers.
- Additional duties as required.
- Represent Clark Builders in a professional and respectful manner.
- Adhere to Clark Builders’ policies and procedures.

Skills and Knowledge:

- The physical ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs., as well as performing repetitive motions, bending, crouching and/or kneeling for long periods throughout the day.
- The ability to work long hours while completing repetitive tasks.
- The capability to work outside in various weather conditions depending on the season.
- The ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner.

Qualifications:

- Experience working in commercial/industrial construction is considered an asset.
- Valid First Aid certificate an asset.
- Valid ESC Fall Protection, SiteReadyBC and WHMIS 2015 is an asset.

Wage Range: $25 - $30 per hour.
