About the Chance

On behalf of one of Canada's largest and most prestigious law firms, we are recruiting for at tenured Legal Assistant, to work in a Labour & Employment practice. This two month contract has strong potential to extend and offers an outstanding team atmosphere and the opportunity to work in a professional workplace with all of the tools to foster success.

Duties include but are not limited to:

- Review, format, and prepare legal documents and correspondence
- Maintain client files and case records (electronic and paper)
- Assist with interpreting and executing requests within legal documents and agreements
- Coordinate schedules, deadlines, and client requests within designated timelines
- Conduct basic legal research and fact-checking as required
- Provide general administrative support to lawyers and the legal team

About You The successful candidate will have the following:

- Post-secondary education in Legal Administration or related field




- 1-3 years of experience in a legal or professional services environment preferred
- Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal); French considered a strong asset
- Proficiency with MS Office and familiarity with legal or document management systems an asset
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to handle sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality

About the Job The payrate for this position will be between $28.00 to $32.00 per hour, depending on experience.
