The Strategic Policy and Planning (SPP) branch is a corporate service branch responsible for managing the ministry’s legislation, regulation, and policy plan; providing policy advice, guidance and coordination; providing review, advice and approval on all Strategic Engagement Plans (SEPs); and legislative management services for the department. This includes advising divisions on the government decision-making process, document requirements, and deadlines; and providing support for drafting legislation, regulations, and ministerial orders.
