Role Description The Line Mechanic is a full-time, on-site role based at Rejoice Industries’ facility in Newmarket, ON. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production and packaging line equipment to ensure safe, consistent, and efficient operation. Day-to-day tasks include performing routine and preventive maintenance, diagnosing mechanical and minor electrical issues, replacing or adjusting parts, and supporting changeovers and line setups.

The Line

Mechanic collaborates closely with production teams to minimize downtime,



document maintenance activities, and follow established safety and quality procedures. The role also involves monitoring equipment performance, recommending improvements, and assisting with the installation and commissioning of new machinery or components.

Qualifications

- Strong maintenance skills with experience in Maintenance, Maintenance & Repair of production or packaging equipment.
- Ability to perform and document Preventive Maintenance activities to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
- Hands-on experience working with Heavy Equipment or industrial machinery in a manufacturing environment.
- Solid Troubleshooting skills for mechanical and basic electrical issues, including root cause analysis.
- Previous experience as a line mechanic, industrial mechanic, millwright, or maintenance technician in manufacturing is an asset.
- Knowledge of safety practices, lockout/tagout procedures, and adherence to quality and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and work instructions.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with production and quality teams.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work around moving machinery.
- Relevant technical diploma, trade certification, or equivalent experience in mechanical or industrial maintenance is preferred.
