Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 4 days/week onsite)

Duration: 1-Year Contract (Extension)

We are looking for a Mainframe QA Tester with experience testing mainframe applications. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, and VSAM and be comfortable performing backend and batch testing.

Responsibilities

- Review business requirements and create test cases.
- Perform functional, regression, and system testing.
- Validate data using DB2 and SQL queries.
- Test batch jobs and JCL processing.
- Report and track defects using JIRA or HP ALM.
- Work closely with developers and business teams.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings.

Required Skills

- Experience in Mainframe QA testing.
- Knowledge of COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, and VSAM.
- Experience with SQL and backend/database testing.
- Experience with batch testing.
- Familiarity with JIRA or HP ALM.
- Understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodology.
- Positive communication and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have

- API testing experience (Postman/REST).
- Banking or Financial domain experience.
- Basic automation knowledge (Selenium/UFT).
