Heavy Duty Mechanics - Canadian Royalties - 14/14 - Fly-in & Fly-out, Camp - Northern QC

Redpath Canada is hiring Heavy Duty Mechanics to support the Canadian Royalties underground mining project in Northern Quebec. Mechanics will perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on underground mobile mining equipment while working a 14/14 fly-in/fly-out rotation from a remote camp. This opportunity is ideal for experienced underground mining mechanics looking for rotational work with a leading mining contractor.

What you’ll need

- FMTM (Formation Modulaire du Québec) or Ontario Underground Hard Rock Mining Common Core (or equivalent)
- Valid driver’s license
- General Explosives Permit




- Successful drug screening
- Successful medical examination
- Experience diagnosing and repairing diesel, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and air-operated equipment
- Experience maintaining underground mobile mining equipment
- Ability to read OEM schematics and manuals
- Experience using mechanical work order systems
- Knowledge of underground braking regulations and testing procedures
- Knowledge of WHMIS legislation and MSDS requirements
- Ability to comply with mining regulations and safety procedures

- Experience training and mentoring apprentices or current employees
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills on underground mining equipment
