Maintenance Technician
Location: Milton, ON
Position Type: Full-Time | Permanent
Shift: 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Pay: $23.00 – $24.00 per hour
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform all assigned tasks accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with the highest quality standards.
- Inspect, test, calibrate, repair, and maintain rental equipment following manufacturer specifications and company procedures.
- Prepare rental equipment by ensuring all required accessories, calibration certificates, operating manuals, and documentation are complete prior to dispatch.
- Provide technical support to customers through troubleshooting, equipment guidance, and user training.
- Assign and update equipment asset status, identification labels, and tracking information.
- Inspect returned equipment to verify that all units, accessories, and peripherals have been received and are in proper working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of electrical safety inspections, environmental monitoring equipment, and consumable inventory.
- Coordinate with internal teams to request spare parts, accessories, and rental inventory required to maintain equipment availability.
- Maintain and update the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) Chemical Register and review newly issued SDS documentation.
- Support the maintenance of technical manuals, software libraries, and equipment documentation.
- Assist team members with daily operational activities as required.
- Participate in after-hours, weekend, and holiday emergency support when necessary.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while complying with company health and safety policies.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required; completion of a skilled trade apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the environmental services or equipment rental industry is considered an asset.
- Previous experience servicing, maintaining, or repairing technical or environmental equipment preferred.
- Proven experience interacting with customers and providing technical support in a professional manner.
- Excellent written, verbal, telephone, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while supporting customers across various industries.
- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety regulations and safe work practices.
