Support Makivvik as a General Accountant, focusing on the Inuit Housing Program in Nunavik. This role involves managing accounts payable and ensuring financial accuracy from Montréal or Kuujjuaq. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Finance, you will be responsible for complex accounts payable tasks that are crucial for the success of housing projects.

You'll help maintain vital supplier relationships, audit-ready documentation, and process improvements while adhering to strict deadlines and compliance requirements. Key Responsibilities:

- Manage and process accounts payable and utility invoices
- Coordinate with suppliers for payment status and discrepancies
- Maintain electronic filing systems for financial documents
- Reconcile vendor statements and balance accounts
- Identify and report inefficiencies in accounts payable processes Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of three years’ experience in accounts payable
- Strong proficiency in MAESTRO or similar ERP systems
- Advanced Excel skills: VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables
- Communication skills in at least two of the following: Inuktitut, English, French Utilize your skills in accounting to contribute to the key work of Makivvik.
