The Role

We’re growing our consulting team and looking for a Management Consultant with hands-on operational excellence experience in mining, utilities, or manufacturing. You’ll work embedded within client operations, diagnosing performance gaps, designing and implementing improvement initiatives, and coaching client teams.

This is a client-facing, delivery-focused role. You won’t be writing recommendations from a distance. You’ll be on the plant floor, in the pit, or on the line, working alongside operators and frontline leaders to change how the work actually gets done.

What You'll Do

- Diagnose operational performance gaps using value stream mapping, bottleneck analysis, and data analytics
- Design and implement process optimization initiatives, visual management systems, and continuous improvement programs
- Build and embed Management Operating Systems (MOS), KPI hierarchies, and performance dashboards that connect strategy to frontline execution
- Lead change management efforts, driving adoption of new processes, systems, and ways of working across client organizations
- Coach and develop client teams’ internal capabilities so improvements are sustained after the engagement
- Support project management of multi-workstream improvement initiatives,



from scoping through delivery
- Communicate findings, progress, and recommendations clearly to operators, frontline leaders, and senior client executives alike

What You Bring

- Consulting or operational experience in mining, utilities, or manufacturing (direct exposure to plant, mine, or field operations is highly valued)
- Professional fluency in Spanish and/or French (English required); solid asset given Solara’s international client base
- Demonstrated change management, coaching, or facilitation skills; comfortable driving adoption and behavior change at all levels of an organization
- At least one of the following certifications (or a combination): Lean Six Sigma (LSS), Prosci Change Management, Supply Chain (e.g., CSCP/CPIM), PMP, or an MBA or similar
- Strong analytical skills with comfort working in ambiguous, fast-moving operational environments
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively and work embedded on client sites for extended periods

Nice to Have

- Prior experience in a boutique or embedded-delivery consulting model
- Familiarity with mining, process optimization, digital transformation, or real-time analytics tools in an industrial setting
- Track record of leading or contributing to measurable, large-scale operational improvement results
